I see what you did there!

When you said cover, I thought you meant a full instrumental cover. So when I first heard this, I was like "is this stolen?" Then I heard the vocals come in.
The vocals are absolutely amazing... Do you bychance live in mid-eastern Alberta? My band needs a vocalist like you!

[Bagpipe Metal]

I'll give you a word of warning

Guitar Pro 5 is probably the worst program to use for making music. I would know, I did the same thing.
Because of that, I won't judge on sound quality. I'll judge on composition factors.
As a bagpipe player, I can already tell you that the scale you are using for the bagpipes is wrong, and it sounds kind of like an egyptian scale. (As a tip, the bapipe scale is in A Major)
Since you're using the Egyptian scale, I can tell you that it sounds fairly decent. and that it's composed really well.

Jumbled and everything, yet still managed to sound good.
You definately did a good job mixing this.

[War Lament]

Really good!

Just one thing though, the snare seems to start dying out at around 1:00
Also, maybe add some drum rolls to give it more of a "War Lament" sound
Other than that, really good arrangement, maybe add something an instrument like the flute with the choir segment to add a better effect.
The title seems to suit the song, so I'd say stick with that.
To help you find your lost items, I have a question: Are your saved files just a bunch of random numbers... like "01-100210_0038.wav"? Or does it have a title? If it has a title, why not just use the search?

Thank you ! The problem with the file (the .flp source file) is that I used to work multiple songs in just one file, and this song is probably either stashed in a file with a misleading title, or was simply buthcered and retitled as I started working on a new song. Nowadays I'm a lot more careful about my work files. At least I was smart enough to keep the .mp3s

Being slightly picky here...

Good melody and all that, except it all sounds too synthetic (except the solo which I thought was pretty good) The drums being the worst of it.
I'm not sure if there's any way to make the guitar sound program you're using sound less synthetic, but my recommendation is to do so, if I'm not mistaken Native Instruments Kontakt is a guitar sound VST, if it is, try going for that. Also find a better drum program. Acoustica Beatcraft or EZ Drummer have the best drum sounds ever.

Well this was done a while back, an i hope it was done on my mac and not my old computer, because a little while back my old computer died and i hope i'll be able to get all of the songs i had done off of it. This one was done i believe (And hope) on garage band, so i might be able to use fl to update the actual instrument sounds. But thank you for your input, and don't worry about being picky, i need it if i want to get better.

This isn't even close to metal, the closest genre this comes to is techno. Also no you didn't make it even close to being as good as the original. If you were to try and make it better (whcih no one would succeed) Try using real instruments.

I laughed extremely hard at this.

This is something I would show my friends (I show them all the songs I like, though)
This would make them laugh too, the lyrics are that funny, and the instrumentation adds to the effect
Again, another good song.

Because of that, any badness to it is nullified... I can't see anything bad about it, it's just that good.
